Kronplatz planning some innovations also for the upcoming winter season. One of the last two non-detachable chairlifts will be replaced by a gondola lift. The mountain and valley station of the Rara lift will be renewed and repositioned.
The new lift with the new CWA Omega V 10-cabins is built by Doppelmayr and replaces the chair lift built in 1989 with a capacity of 2,400 people/hour.
At the same time as the new gondola lift, the project provides a significant extension of the existing slopes, with a new track, which should improve the entire situation of the ski area in the area between Col Toron and Passo Furcia.
